Review of Norwegian Star cruise ship of Norwegian Cruise Line scored 5 out of 5 by vickiken on 3/31/2010 3:03:02 PM. vickiken said This was our 6th cruise and believe it or not all but one cruise on the "Star" originally out of Hawaii, before they repositioned to California for Alaska & Mexican Riviera cruises.
We like the casual atmosphere and we have had such an efficient, friendly, caring staff one each cruise.
5 out of 5 stars" about Norwegian Star. The dining experience on this cruise: "We enjoy the exceptional choices of food on the "Star". Great variety and always an enjoyable experience. We particularly enjoy the French restaurant "Le Bistro".
We've always had excellent food and a great wine selection. 5 stars"; as for the onboard entertainment: "We've been fortunate to absolutely love the off Broadway shows featured on the "Star".
Kind of fun to wind down in the theater after a busy day. Great first run movies.
I also enjoyed just taking my book to the library to relax no matter what time of day or evening. (although there is a good variety of reading material in the library).
Very fun contests in the lounge.
5 stars"; the stateroom onboard Norwegian Star: was "Very clean cabins and as you walk through the ship late in the evening you will notice a cleanliness in the air as well.
The room service was also very efficient. 5 stars"; the Norwegian Cruise Line shipboard staff was "I cannot say enough about the staff on the "Star".
They cannot do enough for the guests. We are very undemanding guests, however we have seen the interaction between staff and other guests more demanding and the degree of politeness and consideration is number 10 on a scale of 1-10.
As far as we're concerned they are the top. 5 stars"; and the onboard programs were "If anyone is bored on this cruise ship they only have themselves to blame.
There is so much variety that it is too numerous to mention.
The only thing we got a little tired of on each cruise was the push to shop in the jewelry stores in port. Other passengers also were annoyed by this. I realize the ships get revenue, however we felt after a while it was "too" much. 3 stars".
