Review of Amsterdam cruise ship of Holland America Line scored 5 out of 5 by mrvideo1949 on 5/13/2010 4:57:47 PM. mrvideo1949 said Just returned from the 2010 World Voyage on the MS Amsterdam. Several things were better then previous world voyages. The new Microsoft Digital Workshops were out of this world and a very big hit with most the passengers. And they are free classes. The only thing I heard people complain about was the direct of the cruise, West to East is hard. 5 out of 5 stars" about Amsterdam. The dining experience on this cruise: "The meals in the dining room were very good. But the meals in the Pinacle Grill were outstanding and the themed dinner in the Pinacle were nothing short of wonderful. And then there was the new Chef's Table thata must be experienced to be believed. 5 stars"; as for the onboard entertainment: "Not stellar, we are tainted that is for sure. But the dancers and singers were less then might expect on a World Voyage. The rest of the entertainment pretty much followed suite. 2 stars"; the stateroom onboard Amsterdam: was "We booked cat F and we were upgraded to EE. The room had plenty of storge space and was to our liking. 4 stars"; the Holland America Line shipboard staff was "The staff were all very nice, hand picked and you could tell the difference. The Captain was simply the best we have ever seen. 5 stars"; and the onboard programs were "Widely expanded from previous World Voyages. The Craft classes left a great deal to be desired. But every thing else got five stars from all I talked with. The biggest complaint was that there was to much going on and people could not do everythig they wanted. Not a bad thing! 5 stars".
