Last month, the managing director for CruiseNow.com and his beautiful wife welcomed a new addition to their family, which got me thinking about cruising with children. It occurred to me that some of you may not know about the youth programs on cruise ships today. Disney Cruise Line immediately comes to mind when you think of a cruising with children, and while that is a great choice, it isn’t the only choice.

There's something so exciting about a brand new ship... especially new ships that are bigger and better than every other ship out there! Last November, I had the opportunity to sail on Royal Caribbean's beautiful new ship, the Oasis of the Seas, during the pre-inaugural event. Man, talk about an AMAZING ship!

Children Are/Not Allowed

Disney cruises are a wonderful family cruise vacation. In fact, my son went on his first cruise at eighteen months on the Disney Wonder. By the way, he loved it even at eighteen months. Everything is Disney related; the evening shows, meet and greet with the characters, the art work, and really every detail. Of course, this is the Disney way.

When I give a client a quote on a cruise, it’s the bottom line; the total cost to get on that cruise ship, which includes the cruise rate, port charges and taxes.
