Disney Cruise Line’s newest ships have awesome water fun for children and adults. The Disney Dream and coming soon the Disney Fantasy have several awesome water areas on board. With 3 freshwater pools, a splash area, and an awesome stand alone waterslide there is something for everyone.
AquaDuck is an awesome 765-foot long water coaster. This crazy ride will take you up and down and around 4 decks. This coaster even takes you over the side of the ship and through the Forward Funnel ending into a lazy river. It is designed for adults and children. Children must be at least 42” or taller. Single riders must be eight years old and 54” or taller. Guests seven or younger can ride with someone 14 years or older but must be at least 42” tall.
Donald’s Pool is the family pool on board. It has a maximum depth of 5 feet. This area is great for lounging in a deck chair while the kidos play or you can join in the fun. Crew member will host activities and games in the area. Check the Personal Navigator to find out times and activities. Also in this area there are several quick serve options so if you get hungry from all the water fun rest assure you will have plenty to eat nearby.
Mickey’s Pool is the children’s pool. The maximum depth is 2 feet. Children can safely play and splash around with new friends. This pool is located in the same area as Donald’s pool giving parents a piece of mind with children of varying ages. Mickey’s Pool does have a slide which is located one deck above and ends right next to it. The minimum height is 38″ and a maximum height of 64″. No swim diapers allowed.
Nemo’s Reef is an awesome area for the littlest sailors. This splash area has bubblers and pop jets. This 1,500 square foot area is perfect for children to cool off, splash around, and make new friends. There is a mini sized water slide shaped like Mr. Ray and a water curtain that moves back and forth. This area is also shaded to protect your precious little one from the sun.
Quiet Cove Pool is the adult only pool which has had some awesome additions from Disney’s older ships. This area is conveniently attached to Cove Bar so your cocktails and beverages will be readily available. This pool goes from 4-foot deep to 6-inches deep for sunbathing with built in loungers and a mister. Nearby enjoy a sock in a jetted hot tub overlooking beautiful views of the ocean. Can you say “Heaven”.
As you can see Disney has definitely stepped up to the plate making their new ships amazing. Truly Disney offers perfect water fun for any age.
